Best Bites: Taste of the Region
For over a decade, the annual food and entertainment presented at Best Bites: Taste of the Region has been enjoyed by many regional guests. Because of our guests and many generous sponsors, over $950,000 has been raised to purchase equipment for Cambridge Memorial Hospital and support local Rotary projects.
Carla was the beverage vendor contact and the Food & Drink Judges coordinator. She made sure Best Bites has a solid selection of Wineries and Breweries. Plus she always brought in a great line up of local food experts and celebrities as Food & Drink Judges.
2018: Municipal Campaign
In the fall of 2018, Carla ran for Cambridge City Councillor in the Municipal Election.
CMH Lunch Is On Us
In the spring of 2020, Carla launched CMH Lunch Is On Us, an initiative that fed hospital workers 3,000 free lunches during the early crisis of COVID-19.
The Big Give Auction 2020
Carla enjoyed being on the Big Give Auction team in 2020. The Coping Centre and the Rotary Club of Cambridge P-H hosted the “BIG GIVE Auction.” It was an online fundraiser to support individuals in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area dealing with the loss of a loved one.
